Description
Systematically making the top's best gay beaches on Earth of all gay publications, The Maspalomas Gay Naked Beach in Gran Canaria Island is legendary. Indeed, gorgeous nature with naked men (it's a nudist beach) make for a perfect combination.
Due to Gran Canaria summer all year micro climate, this beach is full of gays 365 days per year, and completely packed during the several Maspalomas Prides (May, November, March and October).
HOW TO GET THERE
The fist one is the best option if you come by car or staying anywhere in Maspalomas but Playa del Ingles, as it is less walking (10 minutes versus 20).
1. From the Lighthouse. If coming from the lighthouse along the shore. Just walk directly on the beach on the left side from the Lighthouse where you see the "Blue Marlin Ibiza". Walk on the water. Pass Kiosk 8 (which is straight and non-nudist). Then you will see Kiosk 7, if you are lesbian or a rainbow family with kids, this is the spot for you. If you are an adult gay man, keep going. Once you arrive at Kiosk 6 you can stay there or keep looking between there and the following Kiosk 5.
2. From Playa del Ingles. If you are staying in Playa del Ingles, head over to the viewpoint behind the Riu Palace called Mirador de Las Dunas. Once on the deck, turn right, follow the path, then keep left. (Walk towards the Lighthouse that you can see in the landscape). The Get Direction button at the top of this page directly takes you to the gay beach. From the path, the first kiosk you see is Kiosk 6, when you look left it''s Kiosk 5, and to the right is Kiosk 7.
For the most adventurous and ...horny ones, an optional iconic stop in the middle of the two paths are "the legendary Bushes" for some cruising and outdoor bangin'. (Also good to check on your way back about 2 hours before sunset until the sun sets). Click on the image below for more info about that.
Once on the Maspalomas Gay Naked Beach, feel free to take in the nude as this is clothing-optional beach. Loungers and umbrellas are also available. The Kiosks are bars. Bathrooms are behind number 5 and number 7.
Hunks, twinks and guys of all shapes and sizes tend to stay around Kiosk 5. Mature men around Kiosk 6. Rainbow families with children around Kiosk 7 (to rainbow families, please do not bring children around Kiosk 5 and 6 as sex on the beach quite often happens there).
Keep in mind that it is way more crowded on the weekends as many island locals also head over there at that moment when they are not working.
Expect guys from all over Europe and America, in solos, couples or groups of friends enjoying their time. Head over to the bar areas or towards in the sea for easier socializing.
You won't find that many pictures of the beach itself as most people are naked there and privacy is respected. As the people from Vegas would say, what's in Gran Canaria, stays in Gran Canaria ! But you can still see some photos on our Instagram account.
Fun fact: many people are not aware that the kiosks have been re-dispatched. Kiosk 7 was so legendary that many gays still go to the kiosk with that number. So now we have 3 kiosks instead of 1! That Kiosk is the first nudist spot in that side of the Maspalomas Beach and a bit closer to the lighthouse. As mentioned above, it has become a good option for rainbow families who come with kids.
OTHER BEACH OPTIONS IN GRAN CANARIA SOUTH
Gays also go to the Secret Rocky Naked Gay Beach which is a solid alternative. It is also nudist and where you will find mainly Canarian guys. It is quite busy on the weekends and especially at sunset. This is also a main cruising spot. The advantage of that beach is you don´t need to walk like Kiosk 5 and 6. You can just park right next to it. As to not have it too busy we only provide the info upon request.
You will also find lazy gays who do not wish to walk, in Playa del Inglès (near Hard Rock Cafe) as this is the beach the closest to Yumbo.
You will also find occasional gays on the beaches El Véril, San Augustin (for those too lazy to go to Kiosk 5/6), Anfi del Mar (Playa Marina) and Amadores.
