With Pride, Winter Pride and Fetish Pride, Gran Canaria’s most important gay event is also Europe’s largest programme for bears. But wait: it has nothing to do with any other “bear week” you may heard about before! Bear Carnival is also the World’s only one-week complete bear holiday.
Say hello to “Bear Carnival”, held every March just after the World-famous Canarian carnival in Maspalomas, Europe’s gay beach resort. Well beyond the usual disco party and pub crawl driving most bear festivals, Bear Carnival’s programme comprises around 40 events, including Europe’s biggest bear pool parties, excursions to discover this subtropical paradise, fine dining experiences, luxury spa evenings, cabaret shows, a speed dating party… all organized around a crazy bear carnival with a new theme each year. 2023’s one will be “the circus”. Highlights include a one-day cruise on one of the biggest catamarans in the World, retrofitted as a floating disco for the occasion, and of course the usual set of daily house sessions and sex parties at the legendary men-only clubs in Maspalomas. Moreover, all this will be available at the reasonable, VAT-exempt prices of the Canary Islands.
In short, Bear Carnival could easily be the most fun bear week ever held in Europe, ideal both for novices and long-time bear travellers in need for something fresher. As you can see, the schedule includes something for every kind of bear and admirer, which also means a 100% attitude-free ambiance.
According to Growlr stats, around 1.500 bears from America to Mid East or Oceania were seduced by this innovative concept in the last edition.
